Our Feather Duvet is filled with 100% white duck feather. The quills are shredded and softened, so it feels smooth, not scratchy. It's wrapped in a 100% cotton, down-proof shell (233 thread count) that keeps the feathers in.

The feathers are RDS certified (Responsible Down Standard), and the duvet is OEKO-TEX certified.

Will the feathers poke through? +

No. The quills are shredded and softened, and the 100% cotton shell has a down-proof weave that keeps feathers inside. A stray wisp can occasionally work its way out of any feather duvet, but you shouldn't feel quills poking through.

What does RDS certified mean? +

RDS is the Responsible Down Standard. It sets animal-welfare requirements for the farms and supply chain that down and feathers come from, and it's independently certified.

How is this different from your Cotton Down Alternative Duvet? +

The Feather Duvet uses real white duck feather for a light, airy, classic feather feel. The Cotton Down Alternative has no feathers, is hypoallergenic and is machine washable. Love the natural feel of real feathers? Choose feather. Need hypoallergenic and washable? Choose the Cotton Down Alternative.

I have allergies. Is this duvet right for me? +

If you're allergic to feathers, we'd point you to our Cotton Down Alternative Duvet instead. It's hypoallergenic and has no feathers.

How do I take care of it? +

Use a duvet cover, give it a shake each morning and air it out every few weeks. For cleaning, follow the care label on your duvet.
